HCA hospitals transition into unified hospital network
OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Several HCA hospitals around north central Florida will now operate under new names.
Ocala Regional Medical Center and West Marion Community Hospital are just two of more than 450 HCA Florida healthcare sites that officially changed names Thursday.
The facilities will now be called HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital.
Officials said the new names signal a unified hospital system. They also have a new logo.
“It’s really the patient at the center of everything. It’s the diamond in the middle of it, and when we talk about our strengths and the four key pillars of our organization, it really surrounds that diamond and that patient, it gives us the best opportunity that we can to provide the bet care possible fr that patient at the center of everything we do,” CEO of HCA Florida Ocala Health, Chad Christianson said.
Also as part of the rebrand in Ocala, patients will also get to enjoy public art.
A new ‘Horse Fever’ statue will be installed at the Ocala hospital.
“Hopefully when they come here, they get the top-notch treatment that this hospital does offer, and then they also get some beautiful aesthetic of the city investing in the arts in the general area as well,” Artist Christopher Hershberger said.
And at North Florida Regional Medical Center, the hospital is transitioning to HCA Florida North Florida Hospital.
